Embracing Gratitude this Thanksgiving

As we reflect on this challenging time in our global society, our hearts are heavy with the weight of war, violence, and natural disasters. From Gaza and Israel, and Ukraine and Russia, to the impending volcanic eruption in Iceland, we feel the weight of the loss of human life and the destruction of our world.

Yet with all of these challenges, there is also so much beauty to behold. From the kindness of friends, neighbors, family members, and those we haven't met yet, to the joyous moments that bring light to our lives, it is a wonderful time to exist on our beautiful planet.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, our Worldmind community is focused on building a gratitude practice – an intentional habit of recounting all of the good in our lives. Please join us!

A gratitude practice nurtures hope and builds resilience. It supports our ability to reflect on everything we have been given, and plan to give to others.

Resilience isn’t just about enduring—it’s about adapting and growing stronger. We encourage anyone who wants to share their stories of resilience and gratitude to send them to us so we can share them in our next newsletter.

At Worldmind, we're committed to fostering a community that acknowledges our challenges and still chooses to embrace gratitude, kindness, and unity. Together, we can be the change we wish to see in the world.

With so much gratitude for all of you,
- Megan Patterson, Executive Director and Founder of Worldmind School
